Lynn Jaye grew up in London during the Swinging Sixties and was part of one of the greatest cultural changes of our time. She fell in love with painting at an early age and studied at several art schools, but the restless spirit of her generation inspired her to leave London and go traveling in search of her true self. She became a global nomad for seven years, making her way overland through Europe to India, Indonesia and beyond, filling journals with poems and sketches, and making batik paintings on cloth.

When Jaye arrived in California, she settled down in Santa Cruz and gradually realized her dream of becoming a full-time artist. She has developed a unique style, informed by her colorful, cultural experiences.
