Amy Rose Hammond has always been an artist of one kind or another. She was born and

raised in Laguna Beach, in to a family of artists in a town full of artists. She worked in oils for

many years but recently became enamored with the possibilities working with resin.

Her resin pieces are an exploration of color itself. Layers of tinted resin are applied meticulously onto each panel, resulting in rich, luminous works. Each piece is a "color study,

" a thoughtful and experimental process that results in a completely unique, one-of-a-kind creation. The way the resin catches light gives each work depth, with hues that seem to

shift and change as you move around them.

Amy creates in her garage studio in North Laguna. It’s here that her "color studies" come to

life—layer by layer, experiment by experiment. The end result is an ongoing journey into the

transformative power of color, where every piece is a window into a world of rich, radiant possibility.
