Tools For Tomorrow
La Quinta Art Celebration are proud to support Tools For Tomorrow, a nonprofit that empowers children through the arts. Their programs in visual arts, music, writing, and theater help students build creativity, confidence, and teamwork. By providing these "tools for tomorrow," they inspire children to thrive and succeed.
Tools For Tomorrow

Children tell us they are excited to learn to draw, to paint, and to be creative. They also learn that it’s ok to make mistakes.

In the Tools For Tomorrow after-school Creative Clubs and Theatre Programs, students are inspired by stories from children’s books, famous artists who have struggled, and musicians from different genres. Once-a-week, students are presented with “hands-on” projects that integrate visual art, music appreciation, creative writing, and theatre performance. Students are given time to create, share, and connect.

Founded in 1999, TFT has served more than 23,000 children and now reaches more than 1,200 Coachella Valley children (ages 7-11) each year. Students attend elementary schools that are 90% socioeconomically disadvantaged, 83% Hispanic or Latino, 35% English Learners, 11% with disabilities, and 6% housing insecure. This year TFT is partnering with 25 schools and community organizations: Boys & Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Olive Crest and more.
Each ten-week program reaches 20 students and costs almost $4500. The program is free for the students and every child who participates receives a free art kit to take home and share with siblings at the end of the session.
There is a critical need for accessible arts education in our community. Many students, particularly those in underserved areas, lack opportunities for creative enrichment. The arts play a vital role in developing problem-solving skills, emotional resilience, and confidence. TFT is committed to providing children with “tools for tomorrow” by fostering innovation, self-discovery, and collaboration through the arts.
