I have created art all my life, but my journey into sculpture began only about seven years ago. I created a steel sculpture for our front yard in Palm Springs, because my wife and I couldn't find one we liked to buy. We noticed that people driving by would stop and take pictures of it, which was very flattering. One was a gallery owner in Palm Desert who sought me out to show my work in her gallery. I created several different versions of the original design and that evolved into a series of steel sculptures capturing spontaneoous motion in a static, rigid form. I also create abstract photography capturing fascinating pattern in everyday things. I am also a writer having penned a starical novel -- Babbitt Redux -- a book of travel letters and several children's books.

My work endeavors to capture kinetic energy in a static form, to see motion stand still, snap-shot-like, and create tense anticipation the moment just before something is about to fall, explode teeter or collapse.
