Based in the Northern California foothills, I am a self-taught artist whose creative journey began in the early 2000s. While raising my young children, I discovered painting as a much-needed creative outlet, a way to carve out moments of inspiration amid the busy rhythm of everyday life.
Over the years, I have explored a variety of artistic mediums, including silk painting, encaustics, and oil painting. Each has influenced my approach to color, texture, and composition, helping shape the expressive style that defines my work today.
As my children grew older, I was able to devote more time to my studio practice and began pursuing art professionally. My work has been exhibited in galleries in Truckee and Sausalito, and I regularly participate in juried art festivals and events throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, where I enjoy connecting with collectors and fellow art enthusiasts.
My floral paintings are inspired by the beauty, movement, and fleeting moments found in nature. Rather than striving for perfect realism, I paint the feeling of flowers, their vibrant colors, delicate forms, and the joy they bring to everyday life.
Each painting is created with many layers of color, allowing texture and light to become as important as the blooms themselves. My goal is to capture the energy and elegance of each bloom, inviting viewers to slow down, look closely, and experience the simple beauty of nature.
Every piece is an original, created in my studio in Grass Valley, California.
