I grew up in a home filled with glass art. My mother was a sales represenative for both Baccarat and Kosta Boda Art glass. My father is an architect, so I grew up understanding design. I studied Photography at the Art Center College of Design and was an advertising photographer until I discovered my love for creating glass. I work in bright, bold colors and visual textures. A few years ago,I participated in an invitation only Professional Fusing Residency at the Pilchuk School of Glass that transformed the way I create my art. My glass style and technique is always changing, and it’s always unique.
My new “Retro-Groovy” series is my interpretation of mid-century pop art. I use a technique that I developed to control the placement of crushed glass called “Frit”. The colors are bold and have visual texture and depth. I create glass wall art and functional art (Trays and Platters) for your kitchen and dinning room.
