I feel that my style is influenced by modern Swedish design and my time in Florence Italy, having done my silversmithing studies in both countries as well as the U.S. It has been called architectural and industrial as well.

I started my career as a Graphic Designer in the 1980's after studying Art at University and worked as a designer in my own company for 28 years before accepting a silversmithing apprenticeship. I feel that this background in Graphic Design also influences each of my collections.

My most favorite design element is negative space.

Growing up a military brat, travel has been a huge part of my life and remains so, and I find inspiration in each country I visit which I think you will find when I explain the story behind the pieces.

I find Danish Georg Jensen as a large influence in my work. While most of my designs are geometric as I also admire the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright and the architecture and interiors of that time, I also enjoy modernizing organic objects by using sheet and soldering the pieces together to make 3 dimentional shapes.

I enjoy adding gold and movement to my pieces, often adding 18 k gold spheres that will move on the piece in my Touch of gold collection, to give a bit of life to the piece.

Each of my collections have a story. I would like those who buy my pieces to know the story behind the piece and feel a connection to it. I often give demonstrations or take pictures of the process of each piece being made so the wearer sees the beauty of my hand-craft of silversmithing, not just the piece.
