I was born in Kraków, Poland, where art was woven into the fabric of my early life. My grandfather was an art historian and poet whose love for the beauty, history, and culture of European art profoundly influenced me. After immigrating to the United States, I felt an even stronger need to surround myself with art. It became a way of remaining connected to my heritage while finding my own creative voice.
Before becoming a full-time artist, I practiced dentistry as a U.S. Navy Dental Officer and later continued my career as a dentist in private practice. Throughout those years, art remained my deepest passion—a creative longing that I was unable to fully pursue while devoting myself to my profession. When I finally returned to the easel and became a full-time artist, I was not simply beginning a new career; I was answering a calling that had lived within me for most of my life.
Today, I paint every day. My creative process begins with words: I write original lyrics and create a song that inspires the painting. I listen to the music as I work, allowing its story, emotion, and rhythm to guide my colors and brushstrokes. Simply put, I write the song first—and then I paint the song. That is how ART YOU CAN HEAR® was born.
I am a contemporary impressionist oil painter, and I describe my style as “Impressionism in Motion.” Using a small brush, I meticulously place generous amounts of oil paint onto the canvas, building rich layers of color and texture. Each stroke is intentional, giving my paintings depth, movement, and an almost sculptural presence. Light and shadow move across the raised surface, allowing the painting to change subtly as it is viewed from different angles.
Each finished painting is paired with its original song. Viewers can scan a QR code displayed with the artwork and hear the very music that inspired its creation.
For me, art is more than something to observe. It is a complete emotional experience—a painting you can see, a story you can feel, and a song you can hear
My inspiration begins with the beauty and emotion I find in nature—the changing light across a landscape, flowers moving in the wind, the quiet strength of a single blossom, or an unexpected harmony of colors. I am especially drawn to moments that awaken feelings of hope, wonder, beauty, and peaceful reflection. I do not simply paint what I see; I paint what I feel.
Born in Kraków, Poland, I bring a European sensibility to my work. I have long been inspired by the emotional color, energy, and expressive brushwork of Vincent van Gogh, as well as Claude Monet’s extraordinary ability to capture light, atmosphere, and the ever-changing beauty of nature. Their work inspires me, but I interpret those influences through my own contemporary style, which I call “Impressionism in Motion.”
Each painting begins with original lyrics. From those words, I create a song that establishes the story, mood, and emotional direction of the artwork. As I listen to the music, I paint the song, translating its rhythm and feeling into luminous color and meticulously placed, sculptural strokes of oil paint. That is how ART YOU CAN HEAR® was born.
At the La Quinta Art Celebration Encore, I plan to introduce new, highly textured landscapes and florals that reflect my European artistic heritage and my love of gardens, flowers, vineyards, and light-filled scenery. Patrons can expect radiant color, graceful movement, and dimensional surfaces built with generous layers of oil paint.
Each new painting will be paired with its own original song, allowing patrons to see the painting, feel its story, and hear the music that inspired it. Selected paintings will also be presented as immersive three-dimensional experiences, giving viewers the sensation of visually moving through the artwork.
