Dowling lives in works in Denver Colorado. He started drawing at a very young age, but didn't formally begin the process of becoming an artist until the age of 25 and ended up finishing his studies in Florence Italy. Michael is represented in the museum of contemporary art Denver, the Denver museum of fine art, and shows nationally and internationally.
typically work with a number of themes and types of imagery that come back into my work often. Lately I'm more interested in slowing down a little bit and drawing a bit more carefully, I've been very intentionally referencing artwork of the renaissance and work from the past that I find particularly inspiring.
