About The Artist
Loretta was taught to sew at an early age to mend her own clothes and to use materials at hand to make numerous useful things. Sewing exposed Loretta to many types of fabrics, their different properties and textures. Her facility and creativity working with these materials lead some people to say: "She could make something beautiful from nothing."
Loretta creates her art by using linen canvas, sewing burlap to make a 3-D image, and then uses acrylic paint to complete the piece.
