About The Artist
After painting for the sheer joy of it for my early decades, at the age of 29 I moved to San Francisco to study painting at the Academy of Art University where I studied with some of California's best painters. In 2003 I showed my work in Sausalito and the doors to the art world opened--I was picked up my a well-known Sausalito gallery, had my first successful show and a list of clients interested in seeing more. For the last twenty years I have devoted a huge part of my life to paintng the beauty I see in nature. Whether it is a La Quinta Cove sunrise, a coastal sunset or the shimmering Green River below the bluffs in Colorado, for me, it is always about the light. I am grateful to have worked with many fine galleries and art festivals as well as participated in many juried exhibitions--the latest is the deYoung Open 23 at the deYoung Museum in San Francisico, from Sept 30th 2023 through Jan. 7th 2024
